The active compound in Centella Asiatica (also called cica), a tropical plant used in Asian skincare for centuries. It calms redness, accelerates barrier repair, and reduces inflammation — making it particularly effective after breakouts, irritation, or over-exfoliation. Look for 0.5-2% in dedicated cica serums and creams; it works best alongside other centella compounds like asiaticoside.
